The Ginger’s Comfort Emporium is a Manchester-based premium ice cream company with an extra twist! From few months Ginger’s Comfort Emporium takes over the iconic 1st floor diner in Afflecks which overlooks Oldham Street & Church Street and following a make-over now boasts an ice cream bar, softly illuminated with their name up in lights!

Serving up from the hospitable and equally glamorous ice cream parlour (which includes a massage chair), you can indulge in some of the most decadent desserts in the country as the pair already hold the title for the “Best of the Best” . To give you just a taster of what you can expect, examples of flavours include White Chocolate and Pink Peppercorn, the British classics such as Marmalade on Toast and ‘English Country Garden’, the more avant-garde Plum, Gin and Juniper and for those who are brave enough…Absinthe flavour. After heavy breakfast we decided to order something sweet. Our choice was an ice cream & French toast. Frankly speaking I do not like the taste of it. In my opinion, this dessert only looks very nice on the plate.
